In the second game the Vikings were up against the Herborn Crocodiles which had beaten the Mainprimaten 11-6 earlier that day. This time Steve May jr. put the Vikings in front with an early goal, but after that the Vikings were not able to capitalize on their many scoring chances. The goal posts and good goaltending by Herborn’s goalie prevented a higher lead. Herborn did a better job and buried two shots late in the first half for a 2-1 lead. They would again make good use of their chances in the second period while the Vikings continued to struggle scoring so that the Crocodiles built a 4-1 lead. Both goaltenders showed great saves throughout the game to keep it a close matchup. Sebastian Burstedde made it 4-2 with a shorthanded goal but the Crocodiles added an insurance goal for the final score of 5-2.
