RANGERS WIN VIKING CUP IN SHOOTOUT!

Cup All

What a day of hockey!  On November 29, 2014 at the eishalle in Diez, Germany, six teams battled for the coveted Viking Cup!  In the end, the Bayern Rangers claimed the trophy by beating Vikings BLACK in a shootout.  The game was similar to last season’s Armed Forces Alpine Classic championship game, where the Viking just could not find the net in the shootout and the Rangers seized the opportunity.  The teams will see each other again when they travel to the 23rd Annual Armed Forces Alpine Classic on February 12-14, 2015 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.

Thank you to all six teams who made the trip to Diez, especially the Lahti Old Dreamers who flew in for the weekend from Lahti, Finland.  And a special thanks to Martin Homola of the Gasthaus Bremser in Diez for hosting the dinner following the tournament.

We’ll see everyone next year!
